Exceed Language Center was founded in Sana’a, Yemen in October 2007 by a group of experienced teachers and managers with a simple premise: Provide excellence in English language teaching and learning while enabling students to succeed in their English language acquisition. We firmly believe that proficiency in the English language in today’s world - among other needed skills - is essential for success in academic and career pursuits. Both our teaching and management staff have proven experience in operating successful education programs in Yemen (and elsewhere) and all of us share a common vision for creating a conducive and comfortable learning environment.

OUR PRINCIPLES

Exceed follows the Communicative Teaching Approach - a proven instructional methodology that is very effective. Students are led by an energetic, well-versed instructor whose main task is to facilitate the lesson and reduce teacher talk time.

Exceed believes firmly that English language immersion is key to student success and henceforth language acquisition.

English is the medium of communication while at Exceed - in the courtyard, administrative offices, and classrooms.

We highly encourage student participation and involvement throughout the lesson. The lessons and original text book material encourage our students to think critically and thereby gaining effective communication skills.

All students are treated fairly without bias and with respect. In return, students are expected to respect all of Exceed’s administration and classroom teacher(s).

Exceed is everyone’s second home away from home. This guiding principle is lived day in and day out by everyone working and studying.

HIGH EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS

All teacher hires are vetted through a rigorous and demanding screening process to ensure effective lesson delivery.

All teachers undergo extensive, hands-on training prior to onboarding to our teaching staff.

Ongoing and constant teacher feedback is provided on a termly basis.

Constructive feedback sessions are a normal part of our commitment to educational quality.

Professional development workshops are regularly held throughout the year to fine tune teaching techniques, enhance learners’ experience, and sharpen teachers’ skills.

Original textbooks and materials are widely used in our syllabus including reading material.

Multi-level language skills are the core of our curriculum as well as the blending of the four main skills on a daily basis - reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
